The Alliance and HSG AMHASS collaboration and webinar series

Health Systems Global (HSG) and The Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research are delighted to announce a two-year collaboration until December 2026.
The Alliance has formed a Health System Impact Modelling Consortium of HPSR researchers to develop modelling approaches to measure the impact of health systems strengthening (HSS) interventions on essential health services in three countries: Indonesia, Kenya and Ethiopia.
The Alliance aims to facilitate the use of these modelling approaches in informing health systems resource allocation decisions in selected low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), so The Alliance is collaborating with HSG to promote engagement with wider stakeholders to exchange hands-on experiences and foster dissemination of best practices.
To disseminate the findings of this modelling work, HSG and The Alliance will be hosting a series of 6 webinars during the collaboration, until December 2026.
The first webinar will be on Tuesday 3 June at 16:30 Jakarta Time (WIB), 10:30 UK time (GMT+1).
This first webinar will led by the Indonesia modelling team, who will share their latest findings and discuss intentions and methodology for this two-year project.
The team will encourage feedback from the webinar attendees, to help shape the approach and dissemination of results of this two-year programme.
This webinar is the first step in this project to foster a network and learning ecosystem of HPSR stakeholders, including policy makers, researchers and development partners, so we invite you to share this invitation within your network.
Webinar 1: Modeling for Impact: Strengthening Indonesia’s Health System through AMHASS
Event details: https://healthsystemsglobal.org/event/webinar-modeling-for-impact-strengthening-indonesias-health-system-through-amhass/
Theme Overview
In middle-income countries like Indonesia, demographic and epidemiological transitions have contributed to a rising burden of cardiovascular diseases, driven primarily by hypertension and diabetes. However, the healthcare system has not yet fully adapted to manage these growing risks effectively. The AMHASS (Assessment and Modeling for Health System Strengthening) project aims to assess the current performance of the health system and explore how targeted improvements could impact future health outcomes.
This webinar will introduce the AMHASS project as part of a broader effort to support evidence-based policymaking in Indonesia through health systems modeling. The session will present a framework for using impact modeling to evaluate care pathways, enhance access to services, and address the burden of chronic diseases. It also contributes to the project’s larger mission of building a community of practice around health systems impact modeling.
