Nominate candidates now for the 2020 HSG Board Election!
This year HSG is seeking to elect or re-elect nine high energy and committed members to its Board.
Individuals can nominate themselves or be nominated by others. Nominated individuals have to confirm their interest to participate in the election and will be expected to prepare a short statement. Deadline for nominations is 28th February 2020. More information about how to nominate is available onthe Board Election page of the HSG website.
Over 1,800 current HSG members will be invited to vote for the nominated candidates online. More detailed instructions explaining the nomination and election process areavailable here, including details about how to nominate.
HSG Board Requirements for 2020 election
Based on HSG’s bylaws (PDF), election outcomes have to be compliant with the mandates existing in the organizational documents. These mandates for 2020 election include:

Three regional seats for Eastern Mediterranean, for Americas and for Africa are for election this year (based on WHO definition). Thus, individuals from these regions are strongly encouraged to stand for regional seats and put their candidates forward.

At least five members are expected to be residents in LMIC setting

And about five elected or re-elected members must be female.
Elected individuals must be existing HSG members. Those who are currently not members of HSG but are interested in being nominated are able to join HSG and pursue nomination before the candidate confirmation end date of 20thMarch 2020.
