NIHR exploring options to support Global Health Systems Research

National Institute for Health Research’s (NIHR) Global Health Research programme has been set up to fund applied health research for the primary and direct benefit of patients and the public in low and middle income countries (LMICs).

The research community is being invited to engage with NIHR as it explores opportunities to expand into the global health systems research domain. Interested researchers are encouraged to sign up to a ‘Global HSR Community of Interest’ which will be launched over the summer months and feed into a consultation session at the 5th Global HSR Symposium in Liverpool in October 2018. The consultation session is planned for 9th October at 1:30pm and will be entitled: ‘The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) – A whole system approach to improving health at national and global level’.

For further information and to sign up to the community of interest, please contact GlobalHealthResearch@dh.gsi.gov.uk.
