Looking for some global attention for your Quality Improvement Evaluation Design?
The Thematic Working Group on Quality has been active on a few fronts and is looking to engage more HSG members.
Seminars on QI evaluation: Here is a great opportunity to get a global consultation on your QI project evaluation design. We are soliciting cases for a virtual seminar on QI design and evaluation.
Following a successful workshop on QI evaluation held in London in April this year, plans are underway to replicate the experience using a virtual platform. The Quality TWG has teamed up with GHD – Online who will host the Webinar, with further social media support from the HSG secretariat. The format will start a live webinar on Monday January 25th of a case study of QI evaluation design question from the field followed by a facilitated panel discussion. Participants can interact with the panel and pose questions through synchronous chat. In order to provide an opportunity for further discussion, a moderated online forum will be available for one week after the event for participants to have a deeper conversation. The webinar will also be recorded so that those unable to attend can still participate in the subsequent discussion.,The week-long forum by live summary discussion with the panelists one week later (Monday, February 1st) . The case report presented at the London meeting is posted here. Please submit your case (1- 2 pages, including Background, Context, Objective, Theory of Change, Intervention, Measurement Strategy) by sending it to Mark Bradshaw. Closing date for submissions is Monday November 23rd.
Request for proposals for dissemination of QI evaluation: In the lead up to the next HSG meeting in Vancouver in 2016, planning is underway to solicit best examples of QI evaluation designs (either underway or completed) for dissemination in the setting of the meeting through various formats (pre-conference workshop, conference seminar, journal supplement). More information will become available as we plan this work and discuss options for publication.
