Important update on HSR2026 

The HSG Board would like to share that 9th Global Symposium on Health Systems Research (HSR2026), will be going ahead. We are currently exploring alternative venue options, making every effort to remain within the region, and will confirm the final location and dates as soon as possible within the next 2-3 weeks. 

Following careful consideration of the current situation in the Eastern Mediterranean Region and the risks this presents for the Symposium, the Board has decided to relocate HSR2026 from Dubai, while making every effort to remain within the region and to hold the Symposium in 2026 as planned. 

HSR2026 will continue to be delivered in partnership with the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government and the Knowledge to Policy Center at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the American University of Beirut. We would also like to recognise and sincerely value the commitment, hard work, and collaboration of our local partners to date as planning for the Symposium has progressed. The Symposium will continue to focus on the Eastern Mediterranean Region and remain committed to its core objective of bringing together diverse stakeholders to advance health systems research, policy, and practice globally. 

We also want to express our sincere concern for all individuals and communities affected by the ongoing conflict, and our solidarity with those facing uncertainty and hardship at this time.
