So, Phase One of the Sixth Global Symposium for Health Systems Research (HSR2020) is over. How was it for you? Before we dive into HSR2020’s exciting second phase, here are a few headline numbers from Phase One (8-12 November 2020).

  • 2,296 registrations from 107 countries
  • 1,190 scholarships awarded
  • 1,946 visits to the HSR2020 poster gallery from 8 – 12 November 2020
  • 3,269 on-demand views of session recordings (12:47, 12 Nov)
  • 1,856 views of the HSR2020 launch video (10:24, 19 Nov)

 

Additionally, the chart below shows that, compared to previous Symposia, HSR2020 has seen an increase in delegates from low- and middle-income countries and from several regions, including the Middle East and North Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, South Asia, East Asia and Pacific, and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Twitter Live

On 10 November, we hosted the first in a series of HSG Twitter Live conversations. The first edition featured a fascinating and energetic discussion between Lucy Gilson and Prashanth Nuggehalli Srinivas on the importance of health policy and systems research in short-term response to health shocks and long-term transformational change.

It received 418 live views and 852 total views (15:45, 12 Nov).

HSR2020 Phase Two
