In January 2022, Health Systems Global (HSG) and the Alliance, in collaboration with Health Policy and Planning (HPP), started a third cohort of a mentorship programme for early-career women researchers in HPSR. As part of the programme, mentors and mentees work in pairs to develop manuscripts for a special issue of HPP. Initiated in 2019, following the Alliance’s initial mentorship program in 2018, this program aims to increase the numbers of early-career women from low-and-middle-income countries (LMICs) getting published to strengthen their skills in producing strong manuscripts and to foster their development through the process.

Explore our podcast, webinar and supplement journal for a closer look at the remarkable achievements of the women in mentorship program. This initiative provides crucial support to early-career women from low and middle-income countries. These women are actively engaged in Health Policy and Systems Research (HPSR) issues and aspire to publish their HPSR research in a global peer reviewed journal for the first time. Our program offers guidance and assistance to ensure that their manuscripts have the potential to be successfully published
