Canada’s International Development Research Centre Sponsors the Sixth Global Symposium
Health Systems Global is pleased to announce that the Sixth Global Symposium on Health Systems Research (HSR2020) has received a generous grant from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) for the organization and management of the Symposium, which will take place in Dubai, UAE, from 8th to 12th November 2020. With this grant, IDRC is the first Golden Tier supporter of Health System Global for HSR2020. Most of the IDRC grant (60%) will be for scholarships to support LMIC researchers participate in this Global event. Grant funds will also support Arabic language translation – along with English, French and Spanish – in the symposium program with several focused sessions in different languages, as well as the production of the post-symposium supplement featuring selected papers from the event.
The Global Symposium on Health Systems Research is organized every two years by Health Systems Global to bring together the full range of players involved in health systems and policy research and practice. Beginning with the First Global Symposium in Montreux in 2010, the Symposia have played a crucial, catalytic role in convening a global community dedicated to strengthening health systems and building the field of health systems research.
A loyal supporter of the Global Symposium since its inception in 2010, IDRC has over the years enabled dozens of LMIC researchers to participate in the global event. Health System Global is thankful for this continuous collaboration.
