Abstract submissions for HSR2026

Abstract submission for the 9th Global Symposium to be held in Dubai on Health Systems Research (HSR2026) will open on 4 November 2025.

We invite abstracts addressing one of the four Symposium themes:

• Politics and Polycrises – Governance, financing and diplomacy in the face of conflict and a changing global order
• Plurality and Partnerships – Embracing diverse actors, sectors and care modalities
• Platforms and Participation – Harnessing digital technologies and honouring social contracts
• Pathways and Planet – Human–ecological concerns, and framing performance in a post-SDG era.

Session types:

• Individual sessions
• Organised sessions
• Capacity strengthening sessions.

Abstracts should contribute to:

• Cutting-edge research (conceptual, empirical or synthesis)
• Innovative approaches, methods and measures
• Successful or novel strategies for developing capacity
• Platforms to share and translate knowledge
• Innovative practices in health systems development.

Participation guidelines:

• Each person may present once in an organised session (as chair/moderator or named contributor) and once in individual abstract-based sessions
• Abstracts will be accepted in English

• Organized – application deadline 12:00pm (GMT) 13 February 2026
• Capacity Strengthening – application deadline 12:00pm (GMT) 13 February 2026
• Individual – application deadline 12:00pm (GMT) 13 March 2026
