GENERAL
What can I expect from a hybrid HSR2022?
The hybrid program and logistics will make it possible for presenters and attendees to have a choice in how they wish to engage with the symposium. Given that travel restrictions may still be a factor in the Fall of 2022, therefore we wish to give all our delegates access to the rich program. Please note that the goal of the hybrid program is to ensure as many speakers as possible join the in-person event in Colombia. All sessions will be broadcast, and in some circumstances, speakers will be brought in virtually.
Are HSR2022 abstracts published after the conference and if so, where?
All accepted oral and poster presentations will be included in the Symposium abstract book.
How do I become a member of HSG, and what are the benefits?

ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS
When submitting an organized session, can my speakers be named in other organized abstract proposals?
There is no limit on the number of sessions a speaker can be included on in the abstract proposal stage. However, please note that speakers may only present once in each type of session in the program (organized, paper or poster). Therefore, they can only accept to speak in ONE organized session if multiple are accepted, this will be at their discretion.
I would like to withdraw my accepted abstract. What are the steps for moving forward?
Please let us know if you would like to withdraw your accepted abstract by sending an email to sbrown@healthsystemsglobal.org
Is it possible to add additional authors in my accepted abstract?
Yes, you can alter your abstract yourself up until the deadline of February 15. After this date, we are not able to make these changes.
PLANNING A SESSION
If I organize a session, who will support travel and participation costs for speakers?
The best and most certain way to plan for your session is to be sure that you have financial support for yourself and invited speakers through their respective institutions or research grants. Health System Global raises scholarship funds from donors to facilitate the participation of LMIC residents and also students in the symposium. Based on scholarship rules in force and adequate fundraising, HSG aims to support at minimum one speaker from each session in the symposium when requested.
Will I receive financial support/discount if my organized session submission is not accepted and if I opt for a satellite session?
HSG does not fund/subsidize cost of satellite sessions. The organizers are expected to cover the session costs themselves.
What is included in the Satellite Session price?
Prices for the Satellite session depend on the session duration and format of the session and are published on the symposium website. All prices include the physical meeting room at the Agora Convention Centre (zoom room if fully virtual), Sound and basic audio‐visual equipment and the ability to broadcast your session to the virtual audience; Recording of your session to be posted on the HSG program; Details of the session and speakers listed in the symposium program.
All additional requirements (such as translation) beyond the listed one are subject to additional charges.
