To coincide with the online launch of the Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research’s Reader on Human Resources for Health, this webinar will present an overview of its contents and the background to its development. The webinar will then focus in on one of Reader’s six topics: health worker performance. The presentation will review the contribution of health policy and systems research (HPSR) to the field of human resources for health performance, illustrating how an HPSR lens can enable classic health workforce issues to be explored and understood from a new direction.
This webinar will be led by:
Asha George (School of Public Health, University of Western Cape, South Africa and Vice Chair of Board, Health Systems Global),
Kerry Scott (Independent consultant, Bangalore, India and Co-Chair, SHAPES HSG thematic working group) and
Stephanie Topp (College of Public Health, Medical and Veterinary Sciences, James Cook University, Australia and Co-Chair, SHAPES HSG thematic working group).
This is the third webinar in the HRH HPSR Reader series. The first two (September 2016 and March 2017) oriented participants to the early stages of the Reader’s development and sought inputs into its shape.
