Asha George is the South African Research Chair in Health Systems, Complexity and Social Change at the University of the Western Cape and on leave of absence from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. Asha is a qualitative researcher engaged with advancing health and social justice in low- and middle-income countries. With a gender and rights lens, she focuses on the frontline interface and governance of services taking into consideration community engagement and health worker perspectives. She is vice-chair of the Board of Health Systems Global.
